Kohl Teacher Fellowship Nomination/Teacher of the Year Nomination

Do you know of a teacher who is deserving of some recognition, then go online and complete the Kohl Teacher Fellowship Nomination form…any student, parent, community member, colleague or school administrator can nominate teachers who deserve this recognition.  The Kohl Teacher Fellowship program recognizes and supports teaching excellence and innovation in the State of Wisconsin.  The goal is to support teachers in the pursuit of their unrealized goals for their classrooms or professional development.

If you have recently moved into the district, it is important to contact the school immediately to register your child(ren).  For students in grades 4K-5, call Becky Taylor in the ES Office at 715-887-9070.  For students in grades 6-12, call Stacie Kleifgen at 715-887-9000 ext. 109.


Port Edwards School District offers before and after school care for elementary school students. Students in grades 4K-5 may attend the Morning Reading Program at the Elementary School IMC Monday-Friday beginning at 7:00 a.m. at no cost to families. At the end of each school day, Port Edwards Elementary hosts a site for the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Wisconsin Rapids Area. Students aged 6-12 may attend activities from 3:12-6:00 p.m. Membership fee is $10 per year.

The Port Edwards School District pursuant to sections 118.30 (1g)(a) and 120.12 (13)(b) of the state statutes will use the following academic standards for the 2015-2016 school year:

Our Policy

It is the policy of the School District of Port Edwards that no person may be denied admission to any public school in this district or be denied participation in, be denied benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extracurricular, pupil service, recreational, or other program or activity because of the person’s sex, national origin, color, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or physical, mental, emotional, or learning disability or handicap, as required by s.118.13, Wis. Stats.

This policy also prohibits discrimination as defined by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (sex), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race and national origin), and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The district encourages informal resolutions of complaints under this policy. A formal complaint resolution procedure is available, however, to address allegations of violations of the policy in the School District of Port Edwards. Any questions concerning this policy should be directed to the District Administrator of the Port Edwards Public Schools.
