Mr. Kyle Cronan
Dear Students, Parents and Community Members:
John Edwards Middle/High School offers our students the ability to grow as an individual in our community. At all grade levels, students and staff work to live by and uphold the 5 R’s: Respect, Responsibility, Relationships, Reflect, and Resolve. Using this set of principles, along with our Restorative Practice model, we strive for a learning environment that is safe and focused on education.
Through a variety of programs, we work to see that each student is successful and reaches their potential. We have a beautiful historic school building, but don’t let the age fool you, we strive to expose our students to the future. As part of our high school program, we have implemented a 1:1 technology program in which each student is issued an individual device such as a laptop or Chromebook. We offer a full compliment of college and career readiness courses from Advanced Placement offerings in science and English to transcripted courses in business education, family and consumer education courses in the culinary arts and technology education courses in drafting, graphic design and game design. Students are also given a range of opportunities to take numerous science, social studies, math, foreign language, music and art offerings. Opportunities also exist for students to take virtual courses, youth options courses and school to work programming.
In our middle school, we strive to create an atmosphere where students can explore numerous areas throughout their middle school experience. Students can take classes in band, choir and foreign language. Further, students are exposed to other areas of study such as art, computer technology, technology education, and family and consumer education through our exploratory rotation. Within our middle school, the teaching staff works to engage each individual student and works as a team to help each student reach a level of success.
John Edwards Middle/High School is a place where we work to see that we are meeting the school district mission of
“Improving America’s future…one student at a time.” With our variety of student activities, dedicated staff, close connection
to the community; students have a great place to learn with great opportunities.
